GOLF COURSE SITE ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION
Consult and meet with developer, develop preliminary goals and objectives for the project, determine project issues, golf course opportunities and constraints, and schedules for project completion, collect and review existing documents and base information, and visit the site to examine, investigate and evaluate field conditions.
PLANNING AND DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
Work with developer to complete project background studies and develop project programming and management plan for design, bid, and construction phases of the project.
PRESENTATIONS
Assist with presentations to community groups and elected officials during design, bid and construction phases.
ROUTING PLANS
Work with developer and consultants to develop preliminary and final master plans for the golf course and other land uses.here.
CENTERLINE STAKING PLANS
The plan is used by a surveyor to stake golf hole centerlines in the field.
CONCEPTUAL GOLF COURSE DESIGN
Develop conceptual plans that reflect the intended character of the golf course. These plans cannot be used for construction, but if time is of the essence, may be used by a golf course contractor to begin rough excavation and earthwork.
GOLF COURSE CONSTRUCTION PLANS
Final detailed construction and grading plans for each hole at the scale of one inch equals fifty feet (1” = 50’), or one inch equals one hundred feet (1” = 100’). These plans include all necessary construction details.
GREEN PLANS
Construction plans for each green at a scale of one inch equals thirty feet (1” = 30’). These plans reflect contour intervals of one-half foot (0.5’) on the green surface.
IRRIGATION PLANS
Coordinate with irrigation consultant during planning and design.
GRASSING PLANS
Detailed specifications of grasses to be used and locations.
CONSTRUCTION COST ESTIMATE
Line item detail of golf course construction costs.
INTERVIEW AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR BID PROJECTS
PREPARE BID DOCUMENTS AND INVITATIONS
Prepare detailed specifications & bid documents, distribute to qualified bidders, receive and recommend to client.
CONSTRUCTION OBSERVATION
Architect to review progress of work on a periodic basis to ensure conformance with design and specifications. The number of site visits varies with each project to be determined prior to contract approval.
REVIEW CONTRACTOR MONTHLY PAY REQUESTS
CONSULTATION WITH GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT
Consult with golf course superintendent during the grow-in of the golf course to ensure the golf course design characteristics and character are maintained.
PROJECT CLOSE-OUT
Participate in final walk-through and development of punch lists.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Land planning for the entire project.
Site planning for the clubhouse, maintenance area, multi-family residential sites, commercial areas, etc.
Landscape planting plans for entrances, clubhouses, golf course and other applicable areas.
Operations budget for golf course revenues and expenses.
Assist developer in ways to raise funds for a project.
Recommend and work with a golf course management company in the development of a facility.
Construction of clubhouse and maintenance facilities from a golf operations standpoint.
Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) with AutoCAD and Civil Engineering software.
